Yes, many of those songs were on UK albums and I guess Flowers would be kind of a waste of an album there. In America, with the exception of Ruby Tuesday and Lets Spend the Night Together, none of those songs were on any albums so they were kind of "new". Some were singles, as you mentioned or B sides. Having not been around in those days, my first introduction to them was on Flowers. (And I am grateful, lol) I don't remember Lady Jane being on Flowers. I have to check, but if it was, then of course that one was on the U.S. Aftermath too.
