Officially, even though almost the whole band is on it in some manner, In Another Land is 'officially' a Bill Wyman song (in very fine print on the TSMR album sleeve), and was promoted as such when it was released as a single!
That was actually done for Bill's benefit (hard to believe), but if you check, the song is still considered an official Stones song that was released on the Stones TSMR LP, but the single is considered a Bill Wyman solo song only and not a Stones single.
As far as other songs go and if they are still a Stones song if only, say 2 of them are on there, there are of course several songs like this (last one released was "Petro Blues", and only Mick J is on there!), and I say so what! Many, many bands do this, think of the Beatles "Ballad of John and Yoko", it's just John and Paul playing all the instruments on there, in fact on their White album, there are at least 2 songs that's just Paul playing alone. But if that's how the group agrees to release a song, then it's their song! For YCAGWYW, even Brian had a hand in making the song, even if he didn't play on it because of his hand being in a cast. He was in the studio and the one who brought in Al Kooper to play on the song - Kooper played that wonderful french horn and keys on that great song, and it sure as shit is a Stones song, Ronnie!
