Some reports have it that Love was days into fasting as part of his transcendental meditation regimen. Which would have greatly affected his blood glucose level, in turn messing up his cognitive ability, not to mention better judgment, choice of words, etc. This guy has a huge ego that is not warranted by any great display of talent or musical ability. Brian Wilson carried him during the Beach Boys' heyday. Love presents himself poorly enough when not mentally impaired, and in this instance came across as Mike Love on steroids.
