Where do I say I'm the only one hurting exactly? If you had bothered to read what I wrote, you would have known I admitted being pre-occupied with the shit that was happening with that plane. That I'm not 'hurting' myself but that I feel for the people close to me who are. I would think that's kind of normal. Doesn't mean I'm not aware of or indifferent to the fact that there's suffering in other parts of the world.
Translate this point you try to make to another situation: you arrive at work and there's a guy at another desk who tells you his neigbours best buddy died of cancer. No one saw it coming. Your co-worker is basically okay himself, but feels bad for his neigbour. Good guy and all. Normal people say 'sorry to hear that' and go about their business. But you're being you so you say 'well people die of cancer all the time and there are always people grieving. You are being ridiculous with your bleeding heart comments.'Imagine the WTF?-expression on his face when you finished that statement.
If that's the attitude you live by: feel free. I imagine it must be a lonely life sometimes.
And don't accuse me of making this thread political because it was political the second you hit the 'post message' button. Neither was I the one who got nasty: that was you with your 'OBVIOUS' comment.
If you really had no intentions to offend, you would've guessed it was the wrong comment a soon as you read my reply. Had you written that down in your previous post, I would've been glad you cleared that out. Instead you chose to be a smart-ass, starting a flame war over writing style in a thread that turned out to be about dead people and rotten politics. Now we are here.
And don't give me that 'it was meant to be a music thread'. This thread didn't turn out the way you wanted to: that's the thing with posting stuff on a forum.
People that don't want a post to get political usually leave out that theme when they send a message. Keep that in mind when you write something down the next time. My first two replies have the content they have because you made room for it, assuming you were looking for a civil conversation about some very uncivil stuff.
If I followed your debating line, I would probably now state that you used the people in Gaza and that downed plane as a stepping stone for a debate on your nevertheless fine taste in music. For now I will just assume you meant nothing by it.
