I like a buzz as much as anyone. And I have had the, "I'll try anything once, things I like, I'll try twice", attitude when I was younger, BUT there were drugs I simply would not try. Heroin is one. Crack is another. Too addictive. Too many sad stories attached to such drugs. I find it amazing Heroin has made a "comeback". It's such a stupid road to take.
Life is about choices. Choose to keep your brain in good working order. You will need it relatively healthy to make good choices down the road. If you are addicted to strong drugs you are bound to make bad choices on supplying your habit unless you are already rich.
I don't blame you for being pissed and wanting to vent. Shit like that can be a cancer to kids and one's community.
