Back In Black AC/DC. What can you say about it? It rocks hard from start to finish. I remember my crazy College roommate and I hosted a purple passion party in our dorm room and spun both sides of the album. All four walls were streaked in purple the next morning.
'Wanted! The Outlaws', is an album by Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Jessi Colter, and Tompall Glaser, released in 1976. It is the perfect Outlaw Country album. It went #1 on the Country charts and # 10 on Pop. Goes best with a shot glass full of Wild Turkey and an ice cold Miller High Life (in a bottle) chaser.
'Car Wheels On A Gravel Road' Lucinda Williams. You hear county blues, bluesy rock, and Country Rock on this gem. Her lyrics are superb, smart and often hilarious. Her band here is tops and very tight! I cannot stop spinning this album for the last two months or more. Her singing voice can be sexy, to silly, but always Southern and it just plain works on every song on the album. ''Drunken Angel', must be heard! - "Blood spilled out from the hole in your heart over the strings of your guitar".
Moondance Van Morrison Soulful with a mixture of genres it is simply a masterpiece. 'Into The Mystic', will be played at my funeral if I ever decide to die. No plans yet!
Tigerlily - Natalie Merchant At the risk of sounding like a puss I finally reveal my affection for this album. Carnival is a fine rock song and the electric guitar throughout the album is tasty to my ears. Thought provoking lyrics and Natalie's incredible voice make it a favorite. Soft Rock best describes it but there are other elements. It is the only album of hers I truly like but I like it a great deal. Not a bad song on the album.
