About a month and a half, and it will be time for the Gasland Ambassadors to make their way to Wildwood for the craziness that is the Shidoobee at the Shore Wildwood Weekend. They have to prepare themselves for what is going to happen! Even though Doug posts FAQ's and a general guide - here is what you all need to do to be REALLY ready for this. We here are assuming we all have made our reservations at the Beach Terrace, and have all booked our flights - right Carrie? Here is need to do:
1. Vitamins. Yes, vitamins - to get your body properly ready for the strain on your various organs, a good regimen of vitamin is highly suggested - it helps ward off the dreaded Post-Wildwood flu....
2. Shirts One of the Shidoobees, StonesRiff a.k.a Larry, works for a company that does sports unis for schools and such. He designs and makes THE best shirts every year that celebrate this event. They are very reasonably priced, and are of the highest quality! Watch the Shidoobee Wildwood Yuku page for announcements regarding ordering them. He will bring extras, but this is the best way to guarantee having one. He will ocasonally also make hoodies and such up - again top notch quality.
3. Swap Table At the Sunday singalong there is a swap table - Stones stuff only! It works this way - for each item you bring, you get a 50/50 ticket, and during the singing, numbers are drawn to go up and get something! Some people bring some VERY nice stuff. And if you have minimal luggage space, the rock shops on the Boardwalk have gotten VERY hip to this gathering, and bring out extra Stones stuff to sell!
4. Food Also on Sunday, there is a covered dish picnic. So if you have driven, or rented a car, you can go grocery shopping and perhaps borrow an oven in someone's efficency! And yes, plenty of veggies and vegans are there!
5. Liquid refreshment. fortunately, Wildwood has plenty of places to purchase adult beverages. New Jersey makes it easy, as all adult beverages are sold in 'liquor stores', and due to a quirk in the NJ liquor laws, WW has more places selling booze per capita than any place in the state!
