Alright, Riff! You do Man!
I'm a bit embarrassed to admit this, but when I was young, I was a huge fan of the Monkees. Used to have Peter Tork and Davy Jones on my bedroom wall....back in 1984/5.
It was my hatred of the music I was hearing on the radio in 1985, that led me to the "oldies." That is when I first discovered The Monkees, then The Beatles and Led Zep and, most importantly, The Rolling Stones. There was good music out there! Not just Eddie Murphy doing The Neutron Dance crap.
Yeah, those Monkees are alright in my book.
