The Sex Pistols were always very vocal about how rock music was for teenagers and the Beatles and Stones were too old to rock. As a 50+ year-old, Mr Lydon-Rotten would look pretty foolish if he were to go back on that strongly-stated principle. I guess that's why he's pitching butter on TV or whatever nowadays.
What a drag it is getting old!
As for Mr. Ritchie, John Simon (aka Sid Vicious), he made Stuart Sutcliffe sound like a natural on bass.......!
The only Pistols song I ever found remotely palatable was "Pretty Vacant". My sister had the Bullocks album and played it all the time. Funny, now that I think about it, in those days I was into The Doors major big time. I still listen to The Doors. I'm going to have to ask Sis if she still listens to Johnny & Co.
