Lol, (with an accompanying nod and wink). I guess I'm not any more or less deluded than the legions of blind Beatles-lovers out there who still think they are the end-all/be-all in every fucking way ha ha!
It's all about perspective, isn't it? Speaking of which, here's an alternate one from a book I'm now reading. Referencing late '65-early '66, Jack Casady, future bassist of Jefferson Airplane said this:
"I was aware of the British bands but all I heard was the Stones copying tunes I had grown up with and I wasn't impressed with the Beatles. I had actually stopped playing for about a year."

I'm exited to see if/how his thoughts on those two bands changed by the start of the following decade. And, I'd really like to do some kind of content-analysis study someday on musicians vs. fans/media when it comes to comments/historical placement on the quality and musicianship of important bands and artists.
