Yes. That seems to be one of the knocks against them in some Rock fans eyes. I think it demonstrates superb skill and consistency. Plus a nod to the sound engineers at the board. Some of the venues they play have acoustic problems. Like the one where I saw them. Somehow the sound was awesome that night. But it is interesting this thread was started with the song 'Take It To The Limit', a song in which Randy Meisner sang with variation from night to night on tour. Not every version of every Eagles song sounded just like the album from which it came. I know 'Life In The Fast Lane' sounded different than the studio version the night I saw them. Walsh and Felder made sure of that. And live music always sounds different to my ears. More powerful. Bigger.
