It's no rumor at all, it's real news, at least it's real news that something happened to Malcolm. This statement comes directly from AC/DC's official website: "After forty years of life dedicated to AC/DC, guitarist and founding member Malcolm Young is taking a break from the band due to ill health. Malcolm would like to thank the group’s diehard legions of fans worldwide for their never-ending love and support."

If he did have a stroke, it could mean so many different things, from being better real soon to never again being able to play guitar. Remember what happened to Dave Davies after his stroke, he had to relearn how to play guitar again and the Kinks haven't played together since, so although it could mean the end to Malcolm being in the band, it could also just mean a few months off, too.
