I think the "Black and Blue" album could be disassembled and stuck onto later releases, piecemeal. I like the feel of the album because of its looseness, but less so than any other release, it has no real themes or coherence.
Now that I think about it, imagine replacing "Heaven" on Tattoo You with "Memory Motel." That would make that album an 11 out of 10.
I think half of Bridges to Babylon is a fantastics Stones album: Saint of Me, Flip The Switch, Thief in The Night, Gunface, You Don't Have to Mean It, and Always Suffering feel like the band is rejuvenated, while the rest just does little for me. I guess you could package the songs with tunes that have trickled out over the years:
1. Flip the Switch
2. Doom and Gloom
3. You Don't Have to Mean It
4. Don't Stop
5. Always Suffering
6. Under The Radar
7. Gunface
8. Anyway You Look at It
9. Saint of Me
10. Thief in The Night
11. Watching The River Flow
