I listened to the doors once, in 1971 I think it was. That was enough for me.

Yes kids are amazing in their reactions to everything that is new to them, and I can tell you Teiz it will be a complete joy for you to attend gigs with the wee fellow when he grows up.

I attend events with my girls(and their guys)fairly regularly, and it's so good. The only shows I have refused point blank to go to with them have been Elton John, and Dolly Parton. That influence must be from their mothers side.

Kids can also put you in embarrassing spots when they come out with stuff. My eldest was in her first grade primary year, and being brought home from school one day by the ex mrs pluto. In the 'close' they run into the old lady who lived in the ground floor flat, a really sweet if a bit nosy, old biddy. So she sees the daughter and says 'hello Kerry', the daughter replies 'hello mrs Stewart, how's your fucking cat today? I mean, she wasn't even 5 years old at that point, so where did that come from? Could only be something she picked up at school. The ex mrs pluto didn't know where to look.

First reaction to music(not from a children's tv prog) I recall any of my kids having, was to zydeco, some hotstepper thing from Rockin' Dopsie and his Cajun Twisters I think it was. I used to listen to all Paul Jones's R&B shows on BBC radio and that's where she heard it. I used to tape those shows, so it had to be played over and over.
