I'm glad you didn't let her ruin your nite - or your life.
I just don't understand some parents, saw on the news one nite last week where a mother left her kids and went to live 3000 miles away from them, leaving her ex to raise them alone. She acted like she wasn't doing anything wrong, yet just looking at her reactions to the interviewer's questions, you could see/tell just how phony a person she really was. She noted that if it's okay for males to do the same thing, then it was cool for her and other women to do it. Bullshit, it isn't cool for men to do that anymore than it is for women. If you don't help raise your own kids (and it's your choice to not do so) and instead you run-away from them, then you got something wrong with you, IMO. My former son-in-law comes to mind, what a total loser he is, but at least my grandsons are okay regardless, thanks to the maternal part of their family.
