What no corn?
Seriously - As you might remember Keno, I spent several summers of my youth with my mom's parents in Salina Kansas - a decent sized town, especially for Kansas! But they had a fairly decent sized lot in which they room for both a nice floral garden, and a decent sized vegetable patch. My grandpa had graduated with an agricultural degree - just in time for the Dust Bowl and Depression', so he knew what he was doing! I got to 'help out' a bit, I was 7/8/9/10, but even as a fussy kid, sure loved those fresh veggies. Summer squash, yellow and green beans, taters - got to dig the potatoes for many a supper - and especially the CORN. There is NOTHING like having corn that was literally picked, shucked, and thrown in boiling water. mmmmmmmm
