RE: RE: Colorado's weed boom (nsc)

As Jaded Faded notes, yes, Colorado is a great state to live in, but legal weed is only one of many different reasons why.

Plus yes SV, you can buy weed here in so many ways, and not just in smokeable form, or even edible form. The good news is that the edible forms will now have to tell you how strong the THC is on the package, which at the moment, the medical law is lacking - and is a problem. At our local dispensary, the chocolate drops they sold me a few months ago were so damn strong and packed solid with THC that I was tripping after a few hours of taking it - and I'm not the kind of person who digs tripping at all, especially when I wasn't expecting it to do that to me. I haven't been back in that dispensary since, as I don't need that, and I get my weed from my caregiver for free anyway, so I don't need to pay for something I can get for free and is going to do something to me that I don't like.

But leave it to Rolling Stone to write a article that is full of it, and making our home state look bad. Total BS about smelling weed coming from car windows - that's totally illegal to do and people here aren't driving down the road while smoking weed. Plus you would think the only action was in Denver from reading that rag, what they describe as happening in Denver is going on in most towns, other than some of the eastern Great Plains towns of the state, which are run by Republicans and who have outlawed sales of weed in their towns. Perhaps the best thing to come from the people of the state passing this new recreational weed law is that the eastern conservative counties of Colorado, really the only places where the law failed voter wise (yet they got the most flat places to grow this cash crop - total fools!) are now working on leaving the state and forming the 51 state - because the rest of Colorado is too liberal for them. All I can say to them is good fucking riddance, leave! The new state they want to form (and this is no longer just talk) would be the 27th largest state in the country (landwise) - yet it would have the smallest population in the US, too, and it would be something like 80% Republican controlled. Colorado would never have to worry about turning red again with them gone, but the downside is the country would be stuck with another Kansas state voter wise (with 2 more GOP senators to deal with). Truth is, Kansas should just pick up these counties, since they all border that state and act and live just like those in Kansas. It would really just be "New Kansas" if it happens.
