Okay, I know I said this year's Gassy Raffle would be held on Tuesday, and it is now officially just past midnight Friday, Gasland Time, so I guess I'm a bit late, sorry 'bout that, but it's been another crazy, falling behind week for me. I just drew the raffle winners - right at the Witching hour! Since I'm a night owl, I guess that makes sense to hold it at this time of the night.
Before I announce the winners, just a few notes. I placed everybody's names/handles in a paper bag, mixed up the bag a bunch, and then drew the winning names. As in the past, the first pick gets to choose his/her prize first, and then the second place pick gets the next choice, and finally the third place pick gets whatever is left over. Again, the 3 prizes are: An original 16" by 20" (or maybe larger) painting of any Rolling Stone of your choice, by artist Marc Leitzel (aka Gasser Oponok) worth $2,500.00! Then another prize, being given away from Gasser 2000 Man, consists of two brand new Stones books, the first being The Rolling Stones - Quote, Unquote by John Ewing, and the second book, titled The Rolling Stones by William Ruhlman, which is still sealed in plastic and includes a Stones poster! Finally the third prize is a signed copy of my book, Rolling Thru The Stones .
I once again want to thank both Oponok and 2000 Man for their very kind donations, and also, thanks a million to all of you who helped out in the fundraiser, we raised a record amount this year and blew past our goal!!
