Put your game face on. You have a mission this weekend and the Rock Gods are depending on you to get the job done with flying colors! (Think of the colors, Red, White, and Blue.) Accept the mission with enthusiasm, and "Can Do" determination like a gungho Marine charging the enemy on a hill during WW II! Rock And Roll, it seems to me, is as much about freedom as anything else. Certainly one can feel incredible freedom while listening to great Rock songs at satisfactorily high volume levels at home, or speeding down the open roads of a scenic American country highway.
No doubt you know exactly what I am talking about.
So your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to ROCK your asses off many times during this long three day weekend, and FEEL the freedom, which Rock and Roll provides, and the American soldiers and Sailors who fought and died, helped guarantee for you. Take a few minutes to reflect on their sacrifice. Offer a sincere "Thank You" to the winds and the heavens. I like to think somehow they will hear you. I also like to think they will appreciate and feel a sense of pride you can feel so damn happy and free while spinning the music you love dearly. Feel free to dance, stomp your feet, and shake your head while you listen to the Stones. Feel free!
Freedom is what it's all about.
