I don't know about notification via email but my friend was able to purchase $85 tickets at the box office at 5pm the night of the show for the final Staples Center show this past Monday. All this happened after she earlier approached the box office and they stated they do not handle the $85 tickets. This was at 4pm and at that time they were busy selling tickets just off the floor for $250 that had been originally priced for $600.

And as far as I know the $85 tickets can be anywhere including the pit. You only know when you show up to claim them and go in. Plus there have been the stories about the local venue staff going into the upper deck and hand out upgrades. The bottom line is they are doing what ever is necessary to make the venue look & be full, including massive fire sales leading into the shows.

So anyone that is close to a show, has the time and interest, should definitely go and check things out. More than likely you will get in and probably for a fraction of what some people paid. Do understand that any tickets you may be holding and looking to sell will also be priced accordingly on the resale market.

There is never a discount on t-shirts unless you by the bootlegs in the parking lot Ronnie
