I don't know, but after all his fans did to get them in, they pretty much acted like they thought the whole thing was stupid with that "speech."

The whole thing may actually be stupid, but their fans wanted them in, and their fans made the noise to get them in, and he should have just thanked them and moved on. Otherwise, he looks like he's an asshole that thinks his fans are stupid.
