....rummaging through his music collection when I stumbled upon a single: "Light My Fire" on side A, "The Crystal Ship" on side B.
Wow. That's the first single I ever bought. And with my own money too! (69 cents plus tax.) I was fascinated by the flipside too.
Before LMF was a hit, I saw The Doors on a Saturday night TV show called "Clay Cole's Discotek". I thought the name of the group was rather odd, and Jim Morrison was screaming some song into the mic, and standing still.
I kinda dug then, but they were scary.
A few days or a week or so later, I hear the DJ on the radio introduce a new song by a group called The Doors. "Hey I saw them on TV!!!"
I fell so in love with LMF I couldn't get enough of it.
