Joey Stampinato played at a wedding reception on Cape Cod for a good friend of mine. (Yeah, really, a wedding gig). He and I had a nice chat about his audition for Wyman's spot in the band. He said Keith and Ronnie were in favor of his joining the band but Mick nixed it (no surprise there). One of his bandmates was thrilled when my wife commented that he looked like Brian Jones. Mick Taylor played at the House of Blues in Cambridge a couple of times and I was front row center both times, literally a few feet from him. He pulled a chick from the audience and danced with her on stage.
