Landed in Vegas this afternoon. I can barely contain my excitement!!!!!
This is my first Stones concert. A good friend of mine bought our $85 tickets. He has been my savior for all this. I would have never been able to afford to go to any of the shows. He also bought us Tongue Pit tickets for the June 3rd Chicago show. (We are bringing our parents to that show.)
I have been waiting for this concert since I was 8 years old when my dad gave me the Voodoo Lounge CD. I expect it to be an emotional event tomorrow! I am so lucky that my dad passed on his great taste in music so long ago. My father and I have truly bonded over the Rolling Stones. I remember he used to rock me to sleep to their music and I remember dancing to "Angie," the song I was named after, at my wedding while we both cried unstoppably.
Anytime we are together and hear the Stones my dad will pull me in for a hug. And both of us are usually teary eyed.
Anyways, just had to share with other fans who can relate! Thanks for reading my little blurb.
