Can someone explain the basics of how a band gets paid royalties? Am I right in that any company (radio stations, record stores, internet sites, tv, functions etc.) who plays a band's song has to pay that band money each time the song is played? And the band would have it arranged as to who gets paid what within the band? Or does the band get a set fee for allowing them to use their song(s)? And I guess they would get a big cut of ticket sales? Just wondering how you make your millions, Ronnie. So would a band like the Glimmer Twins have to pay the stones to play their songs?
