I wouldn't say it appears most of us haven't read Keith's book. I might guess you had trouble with it, though.
The Stones didn't give up the copy right to Satisfaction and Wild Horses. Satisfaction was already under ABKCO's copyright. When Sticky Fingers came out, Decca figured out they were owed another single, of which The Stones provided them with CS Blues. The two songs from Sticky Fingers that Klein managed to get rights to were Brown Sugar and Wild Horses. That's why those two songs appear on Hot Rocks. That's why 40 Licks was kind of a big deal; it was the first time besides Hot Rocks that ABKCO and RSR songs appeared on the same release.
