Interesting...if the sources here are real (and this isn't just the media overblowing things) then irreversible damage has already been done to the overall vibe, reputation and feeling of the 50th anniversary year/tour.
I feel like they could reroute things, though, simply by lowering prices, admitting mistakes, and mellowing out their approach. Add MT to a few more songs, joke around a bit more and I am sure people would forgive them, even now. Why? Because here and in every article written the past few months everyone always says how much they LOVE THE MUSIC and will always respect the boys--it's just they have a problem with the industry/money/etc. aspect. I honestly don't believe that the Stones themselves are as greedy as it may seem. Surely a little, but they've got to be succumbing to some degree to the pressures from management/marketers/business/sponsors who all want a cut, right?
