I think you read too much into MT emotions. I think he was glad to be there. MT wiping his face was probably pure exhaustion. He had one song to prove himself. Sounds like he did. I am quite sure MT was told before the shows he would play one song and one song only. I think the Stones are using him too boost ticket sales. REmember he cancelled a tour of Australia. I am quite sure he is making very good money. Much more than the 3oo seats he would have made on his own tour. If we all bitch about his lack of MT. involment maybe he will get more playing time.
