Morrison's grave is probably the most fanatically guarded places on that cemmetary.

You're right about that! I was there around opening time (9:00 AM) and there wasn't a soul around, except for two policemen who were guarding Jim's grave. If they have two cops on guard on a weekday at 9:00 AM, imagine how many they must have every year on July 3 and at busy times throughout the year!

But IMO it's a minor point. That grave is a place where rock music fans come together and pay their respects (or just give a nod..I think it's the same thing) to one of the greats. Because of that, he's there. It's always crowded, there's always the need to spin a Doors-album when you're near...yeah: he's there.

I'd never looked at it that way, but it's a very good point! I wonder how Jim would have felt about that because he had a real love/hate relationship with stardom.

And if by any chance the body really has been moved, then there's no risk of desecration, like what happened with RVZ and Steve Gaines. This was extremely upsetting to the families, and understandably so!
