I think Jim's remains are there, but I heard the story (probably by Keno when I wrote about one of those visits in earlier years). Thing is, Morrison's grave is probably the most fanatically guarded places on that cemmetary. Because of the get-togethers, because of the vandalism around it(and on it..that sculpture of him is long gone as well.
But IMO it's a minor point. That grave is a place where rock music fans come together and pay their respects (or just give a nod..I think it's the same thing) to one of the greats. Because of that, he's there. It's always crowded, there's always the need to spin a Doors-album when you're near...yeah: he's there.
