Have these guys learned nothing about being a human being along the path? The answer is both amazing and sad.

Amazing, sad and... predictable. Many rock musicians live in a sort of parallel universe, like movie stars do, far removed from the reality of the working stiff. The economic crisis is nothing but an abstract concept to them.

I'm reminded of the BJ story I read in one (or maybe more than one) of the books: he wasn't keeping any regular hours because he didn't have to, and showing up at a restaurant at midnight one time, he was flabbergasted when told that the kitchen was closed. I think this serves as a good metaphor: the Stones are totally disconnected from the reality of their fans. And have been for a very long time. Didn't the Altamont concert come about because of harsh criticisms concerning ticket prices for the '69 tour?

I love the music and the chemistry which makes that music unique and so enjoyable. However I do not idolize these guys whatsoever.

Ditto! I will always love the music but more and more I get the feeling that I would dislike these guys intensely if I was ever to meet them.

It's a shame that after charging $600+ for tickets, the Stones have Mick Taylor playing on only one song. But unlike others, MR strikes me as a pretty good choice. No, he didn't play on the studio track, but he played on plenty of awesome live renditions in the 70s. He didn't play on the studio versions of LIV or GS either, but he totally owned those in the great shows of the early 70s.

To everyone here who has bought a ticket, I hope you have a truly great time!
