The Stones version of LA friday is kinda sterile. Though at least they didn't overdub the crap out of it like they did LYL. Sympathy is the only tune that was recorded in the U.S. on LYL though that is up to debate. Millard sure knew his craft. Still find it hard to believe he killed himself. The fact the Stones named their release after the bootleg (that is what happened, isn't it?)is a rather high compliment. Or perhaps a marketing ploy, protest? who knows?

I would love to see a reissue of LYL with a full El Macombo show and a DVD of LA included. And the album wouldn't cut your solo on YCAGWYW Ronnie!
