There's no right or wrong here. Personal tastes are just that. In an ideal world, there would be commercial radio stations for those who want to discover new music, and others for those of us who "live in the past" musically speaking, as a dear friend of mine says.

He loves to go digging for music he's never heard. And he also seems to think I need to be "educated" to this new music he's fond of. Every time I see him I get to listen to his latest discoveries. Some are very good, some are so-so, some are pretty bad. I enjoy most of them but you know what? I'm always happy to come back to my Stones, my Doors, my Skynyrd, my Beatles, my Pink Floyd...

I "live in the past" for my movies too, so at least I'm consistent, Ronnie.
