That's why I get so down on Classic Rock. Sure, some of it is so great that it should still get airplay, but the vas majority shouldn't still be in heavy rotation. Foreigner doesn't have anything that should have stood the test of time, a couple of songs by The Cars maybe (and I really like their first two albums), bands like Supertramp should have just faded away. Even The Stones, Beatles and Zeppelin shouldn't get half the airplay they do.

If the stations that used to play AOR (Album Oriented Rock) had stuck with it and kept playing new bands as they had been, Rock in general would be in a much better position today. Instead, they all got sucked up into media conglomerates and now they're all the same. Pushing back catalog because that's the only thing major labels have left.
