I'm not expressing hostility toward YOU, PBU. I'm sincerely sorry that it seemed that way. It's directed at the Stones. And it's not cynicism, it's disappointment in them not caring enough to do something really GOOD to mark an incredible milestone. They had been making some really good moves lately (the stuff you mentioned, plus the release of Ladies & Gentlemen and Some Girls Live in Texas, and several incendiary performances by Mick - on SNL, at the White House, and at the Grammys) and it almost seemed like they finally understood what was great about their legacy.
