ENHM/Accordion +/Sexual Fab songs

We enter week 683 of our Stones poll, and the new question is: Rate the artwork for the front cover of England’s Newest Hit Makers This was of course the Stones first US album, and for the cover they went with a photo of the band, a good way to introduce the Boys to everybody.

To cast your vote in this week’s Stones poll click on: Stones Weekly Poll.

In last week’s Stones poll we asked: Rate the artwork for the front cover of Tattoo You. A rating of “8” was the top choice, with 25.8% of the vote.

You can check out the full, final results from this poll here: Stones Weekly Poll – week 682.

For week 325 of our Classic Rock Poll we will run 2 questions. The first question is: Poll Tiebreaker: Who is more overrated? We will finally by the end of this week, have an answer to this question, a question which has gone on for too many weeks, thanks in part to a tie 2 weeks ago between Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake. So they will be the only 2 people to vote on this week – and I sure hope they don’t tie again!

Poll 2, which is the question which I had ready for this week, asks: What rock song has the best played Accordion? When you think of rock music, the accordion isn’t the first instrument you think of, for the most part, you don’t really ever think of it in a rock song. But oh yes, there are several such songs that use the instrument, and I have 30 of them listed for this poll question to vote on.

Just one note, since I know we have some Aerosmith fans out there. The only song listed that I could not find any info on, as to who played the accordion, was on their song “What It Takes”. So please, if you know who played it on this song, let me know ASAP, and I’ll add their name to the song’s listing, which now just reads ”?”, thanks!

To vote in this poll, or to help break the tie for the first poll question, click here: Classic Rock Poll. You will need to click on the 2 different links to vote in the two different polls, so please remember to do that once you get to this page!

In last week’s rock poll we asked: What is the best song about gambling or gamblers? In a major landslide, “Tumblin Dice” by the Stones was the top pick, gaining 33.9% of the votes. Second place was a tie between “ House of the Rising Sun” by The Animals, and “The Gambler” by Kenny Rogers, both picked up 7.9% of the votes.

Okay, so now on to this week’s Beatles poll, where it’s week 78 and we ask: What is the most sexual song done by the Beatles? I recall when we asked this question for the Stones in their poll a few years back, coming up with songs was easy. With the Fabs, not so easy, as I only could find 11 such songs, and 3 of them are questionable as to if they are sexual or not. “Ticket to Ride” is only sexual if you believe what Lennon said about the title, but if you go with the main feel of the song, you many not care what Lennon said about it. Another song fans have argued over for years is “Please Please Me”, and just what – or how, does the singer wish to be pleased. Many claim it’s about wanting oral sex, others say it’s not sexual at all. Finally, I only placed “Come Together” on the list since some claim this song is also about sex, I never felt it was (it should have been titled “Cum Together”, if so), but as I like to point out, if several think otherwise, then it don’t matter what I think.

To make your pick in this week’s sexy Beatle poll, just click here: Beatles Weekly Poll.

In last week’s Beatle poll, we asked: What is your favorite Beatles Country song? I see y'all know your country Beatle songs pretty well. “Rocky Raccoon” was the number pick at 23.7%, followed by “Act Naturally” (my pick) with 15.6%, and “What Goes On”, at 8.3%.

You can check out the full, final results of this Beatle poll at this link: Beatle’s Weekly Poll – week 77. The final top results from this poll will also show up on this Beatles List page: http://www.keno.org/john_lennon/beatles_songs.htm.

I thank all of you who took the time to vote in all of our polls last week, and for voting again in our four new weekly polls this week!
