You must be working for a lousy company to say that about call centers. Half of them are that way. Last year I worked for one based out of Cleveland of all places, and yep, that was the case, the people who ran that joint were evil pricks! Yet the call center I work for now is excellent, run by excellent folks, so it just depends. If you worked for a good company, you would like your job, plus if you do it the way I do - working for a call center from your own home, well you can't beat that! The cost for me to drive to work is zero, as is buying work cloths, and lunch. Plus the best thing is the commute - there isn't one!
