RE: RE: old Alice Cooper

Killer was always a favorite of mine too, but I think the LP before that one, Love It To Death, is even better! I've been playing that one regularly for the last year or so. It's funny, cause when it came it, it was my first Cooper LP, and I dug the garage rock numbers on there, the reason why I got it, and those songs are still great to this very day - but I didn't dig the Goth Rock stuff, not at all, hell, nobody was playing that kind of stuff yet except this band. Now I love the entire LP, I mean, "Ballad of Dwight Fry" is nothing short of a masterpiece, really a mini-rock opera about insanity. Plus I also didn't get "Sun Arise" back then, either, yet today I just love it. Hell, the lyrics are so New Ageish, and nothing like anything you would expect from that band. I played that song last year for a friend of mine who is a Buddhist monk - and a Stones fan, too. She loved that song once she heard it. She too couldn't believe it was Alice Cooper.
