We enter week 679 of our Stones poll with this question: Are you willing to keep paying top ticket prices to see the Stones, if they should tour again later this year? We’ve asked this question at least twice in the past, the last time being in 2007. I have the same five poll choices to pick from today that I used 5 years ago, and I think with all of what has been going on (and not going on) with this being the Stones 50th year, well, it will be interesting to see if (or how) anything changes with this year’s final results.

In last week’s Stones poll we asked: What is the Rolling Stones best social commentary song? “Gimme Shelter” gave “Sympathy For The Devil” a good run and almost took the top spot, but in the end, SFTD held on with 20% of the vote to “Gimme Shelter’s” 18.5%. “Street Fighting Man” wasn’t too far behind in third at 15.7%.
You can check out the full, final results here: Stones Weekly Poll – week 678. I’ll also add this result to the Stones Fans Picks Page 1.
Okay, on to week 321 of the Classic Rock Poll, where we will again this week vote on 2 questions to help speed us thru this mulipital part questions: 1) Who is or was the most overrated male rocker? (Part 4 of 6) and 2) Who is or was the most overrated male rocker? (Part 5 of 6) . After this week we will be really for the final vote on this question, as we will take the top 5 picks each from the first 5 parts of this question and in part 6, vote on them again.
So, to cast your two votes in the Rock Poll, click here: Classic Rock Poll. When you get there, you will see two different links to click on to vote, you will need to do that to vote in each poll.
In last week’s Rock Poll, the two questions were: 1) Who is or was the most overrated male rocker? (Part 3 of 6) and 2) Who is or was the most overrated female rocker? (Part 3 of 3). First in the male poll, aII I can say is wow, Justin Timberlake gathered 46% of the first place vote! The next four were: Bono (13%); Bob Geldof (8.7%); Paul Stanley (6.1%); and Pete Townshend (2.6%). Only 12 people voted for Townshend, but since Timberlake took almost half of the votes casted, somebody with low numbers was bound to make the list.

On the female side of this question, we now have our final answer, with more interesting result coming from this poll. The top six picks took in just under 70% of the vote; with the bottom six only gathering nine votes between all of them. So let’s look at the top six vote getters… Britney Spears beat out Madonna by 15 votes, 18.7% of the vote, to 15.4% for Madonna. Courtney Love and Deborah Harry tied for the next slot with 11.2% each. Then Nico and Sinead O'Connor were next up on the list, both tied at 10.8%.

Now to the Beatles weekly poll, where it’s week 74, and its question is: On what solo album did John Lennon shine the brightest on? Yes, this week’s Beatle poll has nothing to do with the Fabs, just John, and what he recorded after he left the band.
I am not including the first 3 experimental LPs John made with Yoko, since those weren’t really music albums. I am including his last two posthumous albums, however.

In last week’s Beatle poll, we asked: What is the Beatles best social commentary song? “Revolution” was the top pick at 20.1%, with “Taxman” up next at 18.8%. Third place went to “Blackbird” with 6%. Good picks indeed!

Thanks to all of you who voted in all of this week's and last week's polls!
