Lotsa stuff, but this past week Lydia Loveless' Indestructible Machine has been pretty nonstop. I can't get enough of it. She's got a great voice, has great lines like:
I swear each hangovers gonna be my last
But it looks like whiskey's gonna be the only one
To kick my ass and make me still come back
Toss in a standup bass and and electric guitar and I'm just sold on the whole concept.

The other album I grabbed last week was the first album by Wipers. I wasn't anywhere near cool enough to be into them in the early 80's. But I don't mind coming late to parties. If they were good enough to influence Kurt Cobain, they're good enough for me.
I'm still digging the hell out of Middle Brother. Middle Brother.
Jack White's Blunderbuss is a terrific album. I mean, it's the kind of thing that just gets better every time you play it. I wasn't that big a White Stripes fan, but outside of that project I really seem to like the guy a lot. Blunderbuss is one hell of an album. Freedom at 21.
There's a lot more old stuff I've been digging, like Alice Cooper's Killer and the first Artful Dodger album. Artful Dodger is one of my favorite bands from when I was a kid. I've got all their albums and they were a big deal to me back then (I suppose they still are). Wayside.
