RE: RE: RE: RE: Listening to McCartney (nsc)

Id love to see him in person but tickets to his shows are really tough to get.Except for afew corny recordings like honey pie, and maxwells silve hammer his beatles work was spectacular.

Gosh, I even dug the two songs you noted! "Honey Pie" was so 1920ish sounding, something you sure as shit didn't expect from the Fabs, even if the song was really only Paul playing all of the instruments alone. "Maxwells Silver Hammer" was great, a happy go lucky fun sounding song about a murderer. Such songs about murderers are never made in that matter.

Years ago I held a love/hate thing for Paul. I blamed him for the Fabs breaking up, which I see now wasn't fair, as John had just as much to do with it. I also hated that he started all the fights in the band, and how he tried to change the Beatles song credits years later, plus the riff between him and John was all of his fault. Plus what he did on Let it Be ...Naked was a sin! Instead of adding the entire, full track of "Dig It", which is excellent in it's whole, he totally dropped the song from the LP! Unreal!!

However, now days I have no bad feelings for him, only good ones, after all, his output was as good as John's in the late '60s while in the Beatles, and I'll never forget that!
