The moment Rough Justice and I learned the Stones show in Atlantic City was cancelled when we were 30 minutes from the venue. RJ takes a phone call in her ol' bad ass black Hot Rod, and I hear her saying, "No way! You've got to be kidding," or words to that effect. We were both riding a beautiful buzz at the time but the shocking news brought down the sky with a powerful crash.
Yet, we, just like the rest of the Stones fans in AC, particularly the Gassers who were there, made a great Stonesy party out of the night any damn way. It wasn't the same as a Stones show but we had a good time.
The AC Bar And Grill was the place to be.
I had travelled a long way by car but I really felt bad for the Gasser who had flown in from San Francisco. Imagine the time and money invested!
Of course I am not serious about this being in the top ten but it is my own personal "worst" related to the Stones.
Thankfully Dr. Feelgood had her medicine bag with her to heal us both.
