He did? Surely not to Trevor (I hope nobody is holding their breath waiting for the answers to come from that side, because pigs will fly before that happens!). Or maybe he did talk to Trevor but since nobody at Sussex police will give him the time of day, it doesn't matter.
The policeman who was responsible for Brian's second drug bust (the one with the trumped up charges) and who kept making his life miserable was the infamous Norman Pilcher, who seemed to derive special satisfaction from going after rock stars. Another favourite victim of his was John Lennon, who immortalized him in his great song, I Am The Walrus. Check this out:
The what-goes-around-comes-around irony of the whole thing is that the delightful constable Pilcher was himself arrested some time later (I can't remember the exact charges, but I think they had to do with obstructing justice) and spent some time in jail. Brian was already dead by then so he never had the satisfaction of seeing his tormentor hauled off to jail.
I am also convinced that the investigation into Brian's death was cursory at best. They did want to make an example out of him.
