It is getting warmer everywhere, no question about it. It's now normal for thunderstorms to form all the way up on the North Pole, something that never happen before about 20 years ago.... Where I live, it used to be normal to go an entire summer with no 90 degree (F) days, that happened up to around 10 years ago, now we have hit 90 at least once in every single year since, and in bad years, it's occurred on several days. So far this year, it has already hit 90 or higher on 8 days now, including today! I'll have to check the records, but I think that's already the third most 90 degree days for a summer here, and we still got the entire summer to go! I tell ya, I'm not going to last if this keeps up - I HATE hot weather, even if there is always only low humidity here.... I know down south and back east they say "it's 95 degrees, but it feels like 105!", because of the high humidity, and here they say "It's 95 degrees, but it feels like 90!". But big deal, I can't handle 90 degrees!.... I have a cousin who lives in Florida, we were talking about this on the phone the other day and he noted how it's funny on what I say about 90 degree temps, he says about 30 degree temps. We are total opposites on that. Most folks are like him, they rather see hot over cold temps, but not me, there's a reason I come to life in the winter, and why I feel like a lazy bum in the summer. But to each their own.
BTW, the fires are still burning all over my home state, I was smelling smoke just a couple of hours ago, it just depends on which way the wind blows. A few weeks ago I was invited to Colorado Springs for the holiday this week, but there's no way I would head that way now. So instead of at least a couple (or even 3) days off at midweek, I'm only taking off Wednesday.
