Gassers, this is indeed close to unbelievable. I have endured being in f*cking Florida since 1996 because of economic and family issues. Yes we are lucky to have a lovely home with the in-ground pool (Let It Bleed in the pool, hah hah) but after all these years, I simply have no comprehension of why anyone lives here unless they have to. Much of the country is now discovering what it's like in the deep South -- here this level of heat is 24/7 from May to October. I loathe it; but it's the South.
But what about the rest of the country? I grew up in Jersey and remember long, lovely Spring which would unfold from March to May; then Summer when a "Heat Wave" would hit -- maybe once or twice per summer, this bad -- but then it would always BREAK.
All the fools who think global warming is a myth should be forced to live with no A/C -- they can join the millions who lost power and are suffering, even dying, from this heat.
Please Mother Nature, give us a break and spare your children. Ease the heat and stop the wildfires. And while you're at it, could you possibly protect us from killer hurricanes this year?
