Maybe Keith doesn't know how he is? Maybe he's erring on the side of caution, and then some days he's feeling great? Who knows? I'd guess if it were serious he'd be letting the world know ......... unless he thinks it's nobody's business but his. He seems OK to me - but then my perception doesn't cover here and now reality that most talk about, on a soul level he's absolutely fine, which ultimately is what counts. IMO if he's talking about touring in 2013, then neither he nor Mick would go ahead if they didn't think he could cope.
My final take on this - no band can perform on without the TWO songwriters!! Mick and Keith ARE the Stones, they're not replaceable. So, reading between the lines, IMO Keith's well enough to tour - without a zimmer frame!!!!
