Thanks for filling me in on that fact. I hope that Keith works out his problems and can tour again.
I don't know if it's a fact or not, but Keith said what he said. But I was thinking about what was posted above in the other thread and it got me thinking, he was talking about a tour when he said he wasn't ready. But one show he might be ready for.
Regarding Sue's parents, I'm just amazed that her father started smoking at age 5! I would have thought it was a misprint if you didn't explain.
Yeah, I think it happening down south in 1910 explains it well.
Did he manage the emphysema for 27 years, or did it develop years after quitting?
He told me he quit smoking because he hated coughing all the time, so who knows when he came down with it for sure. I do know that it wasn't diagnosed till he was past 70. But my father-in-law was something else and not like most men of his generation. In the last 10 or so years of his life he refused to cut his hair and wore it in a ponytail, something that the males of his generation just didn't do. There are other crazy stories about him, but this is a Stones board now.... I'll just close this out by saying he was a very cool and colorful old man, and I'm glad I got to know him before he died.
