You just made me do a fast Google search on this, since I was thinking maybe I was wrong? So I looked up "camel horse speed" and the very first result had this: "A racing camel's top speed is 40 mph and can run 25 mph for one hour or 12 mph for up to 18 hours. Average horse speed is also 40 mph but for 2 minutes at best". So I guess I was close to correct, but I was wrong to say horses are faster, according to that web site, they are equals!
So now my questions is, why do they not have camels racing at betting tracts? Or even better, have both animals go up against each other in races? Now that might be a fun race to watch!
