Is it possible that Keith can "snap out of it"? Could the accumulated stress of having to take care of his wife while she battled bladder cancer taken its toll on his emotions? I don't know.
This is the same guy who, while on the road, learned that his son died suddenly, and then still played a gig that same night, and didn't go to see his family again for 2 months afterwards, and then would never, ever speak to his wife about the baby's death. You can't get colder than that. Plus he only just told this story in his new book, so it doesn't seem to bug him to this day, not if he talks about in a "matter of fact" way. If he didn't let his child's death bug him, would Patty having cancer stress him out? I would think not, but then again, who knows for sure. It would bug the shit out of most men, I do know that.
