Steve, I got this awful sinking feeling emotionally when I saw Mick on SNL -- I had this feeling that it was some metaphor for the future of the Stones. I have the feeling that Mick COULD tour solo if he wanted to, but I'm not sure why he won't do it. If the Stones can't tour anymore because of Keith's "health" (which I wonder what it means, unless it has to do with the arthritis in his hands?), then can't Mick go with a solo band? I get the feeling that Mick will be around for another 30 years, whereas with Keith and Ronnie, ANYTHING is possible. Also, who knows what things will be like for Charlie in the long-term.
I hope I'm wrong about them, but I do realize that time is of the essence. If they tour in 2013, are they then going to wait the usual 3-5 years to tour again? They are getting on in years to make that doable anymore, or so I'd think. Maybe not for Mick, but definitely for the others!
